🎯  The President is referred to as the first citizen of India. 

🎯 He is the head of state of India (constitutional head of the nation).

🎯 His tenure is 5 years as stated by article 56, part V, of the constitution of India.

🎯 He is the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces. 

🎯 If the president signs any bill passed by parliament , it becomes law.

🎯 As per article 142, it is his duty to enforce the decrees of the Supreme Court. 

🎯 The President is authorised to declare three emergencies. These emergencies are national (352), state (356) and financial (360). Fundamental Rights of Indian citizens can be suspended in case of an emergency. 

🎯 Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President, was a lawyer, scholar and Indian independence activist. Rajendra Smriti Sangrahalaya in Patna is a small biographical museum which is dedicated to him.

🎯 Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was elected as the first Vice- President and  the second President of India. His birthday 5 September is celebrated as Teacher's Day. .

🎯 Dr A.P.J.Abdul Kalam served as the 11th President. He was named the Missile Man of India for his exemplary work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. 

🎯 Smt. Pratibha Patil, the 12th President, is the first woman to hold the office. 

🎯 Shri Ram Nath Kovind is the current President of India. He took office as the 14th President on 25 July 2017.
