The natural or man made meaningful substances which fulfil man's needs are known as resources. The resources fulfil man's  specific objectives. They are natural gifts which are very valuable for human beings.

    Resources ➡️ natural or man- made


1. Natural Resources ➡️ forests, minerals, rivers, seas, solar energy, etc.

2. Man made Resources ➡️ artificial fertilisers, human resources, machines, means of transportation, etc. 

Human resources: efficiency, Human intelligence and knowledge 

Resource is  a concept which changes with the passage of time, knowledge and technology. The real development of the resources lies in its effective and efficient utilisation.


🎯Types of Resources: Chiefly, there are 11 types of resources: biotic, abiotic, developed, potential, exhaustible, inexhaustible, human, marine, mineral, soil and land resources.

✍ Conservation of Resources: 

The resources are very important for the development and future use.Here are some ways to conserve the resources:

1. Some resources are non-renewable in nature. If finished once, it will not be produced again. So we need to conserve such types of resources. 

2. The optimal and proper use of resources is conservation in a real sense. Recycling can be of great help.

3. No resources should be wasted. Its careful use is a must. Let no resources be wasted or destroyed. 

4. Various means should be evolved to upgrade the resources and to use them wisely. 

5. People should be conveyed the message through awareness campaigns, missions and documentaries.  

6. Law- abiding rules can be made.

7. If the knowledge and skill of the public regarding the technological use of the resources are uplifted, its misuse can be suspended.


It is the duty and responsibility of every  person to explore the various aspects that might help nature conserve itself, and to avoid its misuse.
